Taxonomy
Paucivena elongata was named by Lin (1976). Its type specimen is NIGP 20108, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is AAti11, Haifanggou, Beipiao City, which is in a Callovian/Oxfordian terrestrial mudstone in the Haifanggou Formation of China.
It was recombined as Venapaucia elongata by Evenhuis (1994).
