Pliomerina trisulcata

Taxonomy
Pliomerina trisulcata was named by Edgecombe et al. (1999). Its type specimen is UTGD 91143, a cephalon/head, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Mole Creek 4439. south of Liena Road, west of Mole Creek, which is in an Eastonian peritidal carbonate in the Mole Creek Formation of Australia.

Edgecombe et al. 1999Pliomerina with longitudinal median glabellar furrow usually present on posterior part of frontal lobe, terminating near proximal ends of S3; shallow subtransverse S4 on abaxial part of frontal lobe. Hypostomal borders relatively narrow. Pygidium with conical or vase-shaped terminal piece; posterior few pairs ofpygidial pleurae expanded distally, spatulate in dorsal view.
