Taxonomy
Malthodes ceranowiczae was named by Kuska and Kupryjanowicz (2005). Its type specimen is MZ 24198, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Baltic Amber (Museum Ziemi collection), which is in a Priabonian terrestrial amber in Poland.
It was recombined as Malthodes (Malthodes) ceranowiczae by Fanti (2017) and Fanti (2017).
