Taxonomy
Cerdanyagrion miocenicus was named by Nel et al. (1996). Its type specimen is MNHN-LP-R.10430, a wing, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Vilella, road between Vilella farm and Bellver, which is in a Vallesian/Turolian lacustrine - small mudstone in Spain. It is the type species of Cerdanyagrion.
