Pterotriamescaptor primus
Taxonomy
Gryllotalpa prima was named by Cockerell (1921). Its type specimen is BMNH In. 24327, a tegmen, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Bembridge Marls (Hooley coll), which is in a Priabonian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal lime mudstone in the Bouldnor Formation of the United Kingdom. It is the type species of Pterotriamescaptor.
It was recombined as Pterotriamescaptor primus by Gorochov (1992) and Gorochov (2019).
