Taxonomy
Rhegminornis calobates was named by Wetmore (1943). Its type specimen is MCZ 2331, a limb element (tarsometatarsus), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Thomas Farm, which is in a Hemingfordian terrestrial sandstone/claystone in the Alachua Formation of Florida.
