Rhizobactron marinae was named by Kirejtshuk (2013). It is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Lebanese amber, Nabaa Es-Sukkar - Brissa (LU NBS collection), which is in a Barremian terrestrial amber in Lebanon. It is the type species of Rhizobactron.
