Baissopsis ampla
Taxonomy
Baissophytum amplus was named by Chang et al. (2011). Its type specimen is PIN 4210/5915, an exoskeleton (complete female beetle), and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Baissa (PIN collection 4210, unknown layer), which is in an Aptian lacustrine - large siltstone/marl in the Zaza Formation of the Russian Federation. It is the type species of Baissopsis.
It was recombined as Baissopsis amplus by Kirejtshuk (2013); it was corrected as Baissophytum amplum by Oberprieler et al. (2016); it was recombined as Baissopsis ampla by Yu et al. (2019).
