Taxonomy
Paleohemilophus dominicanus was named by Martins and Galileo (1999). Its type specimen is MCCB-194, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Dominican amber (MCCB/MCAM collection), which is in a Burdigalian/Langhian terrestrial amber in the Dominican Republic.
