Taxonomy
Heterologopsis ruhrensis was named by Brauckmann and Koch (1982). It is an impression. Its type locality is Hagen-Vorhalle quarry (Hoffmann collection), which is in a Marsdenian estuary/bay shale/sandstone in Germany. It is the type species of Heterologopsis.
