Taxonomy
Samaroblatta rhypha was named by Lin (1986). Its type specimen is NIGP 70013, a tegmen, and it is an impression. Its type locality is KHG 181, Meitian, Yuanzhu, Lanshan County, which is in a Hettangian terrestrial mudstone in the Guanyintan Formation of China.
