Taxonomy
Necrotaulius kritus was named by Lin (1986). Its type specimen is NIGP 70078, an exoskeleton, and it is an impression. Its type locality is KHG 201, Xiwan coal mine, Hezhou City, which is in a Toarcian terrestrial mudstone in the Shiti Formation of China.
