Taxonomy
Stenomylacris emersoni was named by Carpenter (1934). Its type specimen is MCZ 3347, a tegmen, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Aspinwall, which is in a Stephanian C terrestrial siliciclastic in Pennsylvania.
It was recombined as Mesitoblatta emersoni by Durden (1969); it was recombined as Sooblatta emersoni by Duplicate (1935), Schneider (1983).
