Lobopoda (Lobopoda) annosa was named by Doyen and Poinar (1994). It is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Dominican amber (Poinar coll), which is in a Burdigalian/Langhian terrestrial amber in the Dominican Republic.
It was recombined as Lobopoda annosa by Kirejtshuk et al. (2008), Nabozhenko (2019).
