Taxonomy
Vitisma diffusa was named by Vršanský (2003). Its type specimen is PIN 3559/195, a tegmen, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Bon Tsagaan (PIN collection 3559, outcrop 35), which is in an Aptian lacustrine siliciclastic in the Dzun-Bain Formation of Mongolia.
