Taxonomy
Severinula leopoldi was named by Pruvost (1930). It is an impression. Its type locality is Ormont coal mine, Saint-Xavier pit, roof of Léopold vein, which is in a Westphalian A lacustrine shale in Belgium. It is the type species of Severinula.
