Taxonomy
Micropeplus macrofulvus was named by Gersdorf (1976). Its type specimen is GZG 23935, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Willershausen clay pit (GZG collection), which is in a Piacenzian pond marl in Germany.
