Taxonomy
Dolichoxenus newtoni was named by Engel and Chatzimanolis (2009). Its type specimen is MACT-1810, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Dominican amber (Morone Amber Collection), which is in a Burdigalian/Langhian terrestrial amber in the Dominican Republic.
