Eoptychoptera maxima
Taxonomy
Proptychopterina maxima was named by Kalugina (1985). Its type specimen is PIN 1255/230, a wing, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Kubekovo village (PIN collection 1255), which is in a Bajocian/Bathonian lacustrine - large claystone in the Itat Formation of the Russian Federation.
It was recombined as Proptychoptera maxima by Lukashevich (1993); it was recombined as Eoptychoptera maxima by Lukashevich et al. (1998), Lukashevich and Arillo (2016).
