Taxonomy
Kootenia diutina was named by Fritz (1972). Its type specimen is GSC 27216, a pygidium, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Sekwi Formation - collection 73036, which is in a Cambrian marine limestone in the Sekwi Formation of Canada.
