Taxonomy
Zacanthopsis expansa was named by Fritz (1991). Its type specimen is GSC 91766, a cephalon/head (cranidium), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Collection 90667, which is in a Dyeran marine dolomite/limestone in the Illtyd Formation of Canada.
