Berkeia typica
Taxonomy
Berkeia typica was named by Resser (1937) [= Agraulos convexus var. B. Berkey 1898 p. 288 pl. 20 f. 5-6.]. Its type specimen is Columbia University 22285, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is 1 kilometer south of Taylors Falls, half kilometer north of Folsom Island, which is in a Steptoean coastal sandstone in the Franconia Formation of Minnesota. It is the type species of Berkeia.
