Mesolobites punctatoides
Taxonomy
Polysitum punctatoides was named by Lin (1986). Its type specimen is NIGP 70066, an elytra, and it is an impression. Its type locality is KHG 77, Chengtanjiang section, Liuyang City, which is in a Rhaetian terrestrial siliciclastic in the Sanqiutang Formation of China.
It was recombined as Lobites punctatoides by Ponomarenko et al. (2012); it was recombined as Mesolobites punctatoides by Clapham (2023).
