Taxonomy
Jibeiorthophlebia xiafanzhangziensis was named by Hong (1983). It is an impression. Its type locality is Xiaofanzhangzi, collection H8017, Chengde City, which is in a Callovian/Oxfordian lacustrine - large mudstone in the Jiulongshan Formation of China. It is the type species of Jibeiorthophlebia.

It was corrected as Jibeiorthophlebia xiaofangzhangziensis by Hong (1984); it was recombined as Mesopanorpa xiaofanshangziensis by Zhang (1996); it was recombined as Orthophlebia (Dolichophlebia) xiaofangzhangziensis by Hong and Zhang (2007); it was corrected as Jibeiorthophlebia xiaofanzhangziensis by Hong (2009).
