Meileyingia spinosa
Taxonomy
Meileyingia spinosa was named by Hong (1987). Its type specimen is Beijing Natural History Museum Lv8-1008, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Xiwan village, Meileyingzi, Kezuo, which is in an Aptian terrestrial siliciclastic in the Shahai Formation of China. It is the type species of Meileyingia.
