Taxonomy
Helodes transversa was named by Klausnitzer (1976). It is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Danish Amber (University of Copenhagen ZMUC, NHMD Collection), which is in a Priabonian terrestrial amber in Denmark.

It was recombined as Elodes transversa by Clapham (2023).
