Taxonomy
Necrotaulius tener was named by Sukacheva (1990). Its type specimen is PIN 3015/819, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Unda (PIN collection 3015), which is in a Tithonian lacustrine - small horizon in the Glushkovo Formation of the Russian Federation.
