Taxonomy
Permocupes grandis was named by Ponomarenko (1963). Its type specimen is PIN 117/394, an elytra, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Letopala River (PIN collection 117), which is in a Roadian lagoonal siliciclastic in the Iva-Gora Beds Formation of the Russian Federation.
