Taxonomy
Permophorus arcus was named by Kues (2004). Its type specimen is 16,007-3 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Locality 11-M-1, La Luz Canyon, which is in a Gzhelian carbonate limestone/limestone in the Laborcita Formation of New Mexico.
