Afrocupes firmae
Taxonomy
Afrocupes firmae was named by Geertsema and van den Heever (1996). Its type specimen is USP 1, an exoskeleton, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Kenmoore Farm, which is in an Artinskian lacustrine - large shale in the Whitehill Formation of South Africa. It is the type species of Afrocupes.
