Taxonomy
Norasaphus (Norasaphus) skalis was named by Fortey and Shergold (1984). Its type specimen is CPC 22653, a cephalon/head (cranidium), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is 071/4, which is in an Arenig shallow subtidal grainstone/sandstone in the Nora Formation of Australia. It is the type species of Norasaphus, Norasaphus (Norasaphus).
