Taxonomy
Xenolimosina palaeospinosa was named by Marshall (1999). Its type specimen is AMNH DR-11-2, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Dominican amber (AMNH coll), which is in a Burdigalian/Langhian terrestrial amber in the Dominican Republic.
