Taxonomy
Zherikhinina tola was named by Krzemińska et al. (2009). Its type specimen is PIN 4099/22, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Onokhoy (PIN collection 4099), which is in an Aptian terrestrial siliciclastic in the Godymboyskaya Formation of the Russian Federation.
