Taxonomy
Kovaleva (Vladimirevna) mirabilis was named by Krzemińska et al. (2009). Its type specimen is PIN 3063/800, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Daya locality (PIN collection 3063), which is in a Tithonian terrestrial horizon in the Glushkovo Formation of the Russian Federation. It is the type species of Kovaleva (Vladimirevna).
