Taxonomy
Paracladura caucasiana was named by Krzemińska et al. (2009). Its type specimen is PIN 254/967, a wing, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Vishnevaya Balka creek, Karagan, Stavropol (PIN collection 254), which is in a Miocene lacustrine shale in the Karagan Formation of the Russian Federation.
