Sinaeolothrips brodiei
Taxonomy
Aeolothrips brodiei was named by Cockerell (1917). Its type specimen is BMNH I. 8547, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Bembridge Marls (Brodie coll), which is in a Priabonian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal lime mudstone in the Bouldnor Formation of the United Kingdom. It is the type species of Sinaeolothrips.
It was recombined as Sinaeolothrips brodiei by Shmakov (2014), Mound and Hastenpflug-Vesmanis (2021).
