Coccothrips hoffeinsorum
Taxonomy
Coccothrips hoffeinsorum was named by Shmakov (2014). Its type specimen is MNEMG 2007.12, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Thorness Bay, Bembridge Marls (MNEMG coll), which is in a Priabonian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal lime mudstone in the Bouldnor Formation of the United Kingdom. It is the type species of Coccothrips.
