Priabona florissantius
Taxonomy
Protonephrocerus florissantius was named by Carpenter and Hull (1939). Its type specimen is MCZ 3976, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Florissant (MCZ Collection), which is in a Chadronian lacustrine - large shale in the Florissant Formation of Colorado. It is the type species of Priabona.
It was recombined as Priabona florissantius by Archibald et al. (2014).
