Urocyon galushai

Taxonomy

Urocyon galushai was named by Tedford et al. (2009). Its type specimen is F:AM 63104, a partial skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is 111 Ranch (Lower), which is in a Blancan terrestrial horizon in Arizona.

Synonyms

Urocyon atwaterensis was named by Getz (1960). Its type specimen is UMMP 40223, a tooth (right M2), and it is not a trace fossil.

It was synonymized subjectively with Urocyon cinereoargenteus by Kurten and Anderson (1980); it was synonymized subjectively with Urocyon galushai by Tedford et al. (2009).
