Gisilina was named by Steinich (1963) [Sepkoski's age data: K Camp-u K Maes-u Sepkoski's reference number: 8,765,889]. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Terebratulida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Chlidonophorinae by Cooper (1973), Williams et al. (2006).
