Taxonomy
Arctomeles sotnikovae was named by Tedford and Harington (2003). Its type specimen is CMN 51770, a mandible, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Strathcona Fiord, which is in a Pliocene pond peat in Canada.
