Taxonomy
Loriolithyris was named by Middlemiss (1968) [Sepkoski's age data: K Berr-u K Apti-u Sepkoski's reference number: 776]. It is not extant. Its type is Terebratula russillensis.

It was assigned to Terebratulida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Sellithyridinae by Williams et al. (2006).
