Taxonomy
Zeugmatolepas australis was named by Withers (1935). Its type specimen is In 31196, an other, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is One Tree Hill, Gingin (Glauert collection), which is in a Santonian offshore chalk in the Gingin Formation of Australia.
