Taxonomy
Bembidion (Ochthedromus) davidae was named by Pierce (1944). Its type specimen is LACM A4356, an elytra, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Cuyama River, near junction with Huasna Creek, which is in a Burdigalian offshore shale in California.
