Apidium bowni
Taxonomy
Apidium bowni was named by Simons (1995). Its type specimen is CGM 42199, a mandible (right dentary with p3-m3 plus anterior alveoli), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Quarry V (Jebel Qatrani Formation), which is in a Rupelian fluvial sandstone/mudstone in the Jebel Qatrani Formation of Egypt.
