Taxonomy
Yaria arenaria was named by Aristov (2014). Its type specimen is PIN 5386/49, a wing (fore and hindwing), and it is an impression. Its type locality is Belyi Yar (PIN collection 5386), which is in a Wordian terrestrial horizon in the Izykh Formation of the Russian Federation. It is the type species of Yaria.
