Polioptenus decheni
Taxonomy
Termes decheni was named by Goldenberg (1854). Its type specimen is Naturhist Ver. Bonn, 15(40), a wing (fore & hindwing), and it is an impression. Its type locality is Altenwald mine, which is in a Westphalian C terrestrial shale/bituminous coal in the Lower Saarbrucker layer Formation of Germany.
It was recombined as Dictyoneura decheni by Goldenberg (1877); it was recombined as Goldenbergia decheni by Scudder (1885), Waterlot (1934); it was recombined as Acanthodictyon decheni by Handlirsch (1906), von Schlechtendal (1913), Handlirsch (1919), Handlirsch (1922), Guthörl (1934); it was recombined as Polioptenus decheni by Carpenter (1992).
