Taxonomy
Triassopsychops superba was named by Tillyard (1922). Its type specimen is GSQI284, a wing, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Denmark Hill Insect Bed (Dunstan 1915-1916 collection), which is in a Norian pond siltstone in the Blackstone Formation of Australia.
It was corrected as Triassopsychops superbus by Peng et al. (2011) and Lambkin (2014).
