Taxonomy
Megakhosarina intricata was named by Aristov (2008). Its type specimen is PIN 117/144, a forewing, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Soyana (PIN collection 117), which is in a Roadian lagoonal siliciclastic in the Iva-Gora Beds Formation of the Russian Federation.

It was recombined as Parastenaropodites intricatus by Aristov (2014).
