Taxonomy
Cyphaspis depressa was named by Barrande (1846). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Listice, which is in a Wenlock marine shale in the Liten Formation of the Czech Republic.

It was recombined as Cyphoproetus depressus by Owens (1973); it was recombined as Cyphoproetus depressa by Pribyl (1946) and Owen (1981).
